APATHY / DJ PREMIER

DJ Muggs, Evidence, and others will give Apathy a classic sound on his upcoming third studio album.

Get Busy Committee emcee Apathy is at work on his third studio solo album, titled Honkey Kong. After critical success in 2009’s Wanna Snuggle? which included production from Linkin Park/Fort Minor’s Mike Shinoda and Teddy Roxpin, the Connecticut emcee will look to three legendary 1990s Hip Hop producers on his next effort.

On Twitter yesterday, Apathy revealed that Gang Starr’s DJ Premier, Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs and Da Beatminerz (of Black Moon fame) will contribute to his 2011 album. Additionally, Dilated Peoples’ Evidence and Guns-N-Butter’s Stu Bangas are also involved.

I'm happy for my brother right here !! Apathy has been a long time friend, I respect his grind and he has done me a few solids over the years.

People tell me this is my twin right here lol.

True story! A few years ago, I was in Gentlemen's Warehouse getting fitted for a suit and as the dude is measuring me (pause), he was like "I'm sorry man but I just have to ask you, are you Apathy from the Demigodz?" lol. I was like "nah bro" and he was all dissapointed, but I turned his frown upside down when I left a few of my latest mixtapes behind :)

To make a long story short, look out for my homies music. He's doing major things for New England !
